Locks Heath Pumas thrashed Stoneham 69-0 in their Snows Group Hampshire 2 fixture over the weekend.
In a much expected win, Pumas delivered a victory to spark a few fans’ optimism that this team can do well together.
This game was seen as a clash of the bottom sides but Pumas were excellent in the way they performed in every department.
Stoneham looked a disjointed side and obviously lacked experience as well as motivation to win as Pumas controlled the match from the off.
Their opponents spent vast majority of the time without possession and trying to keep the score down to the minimum.
But Pumas found many ways to break them down.
Pumas raced into a lead and didn’t look back with consecutive tries and conversions along with kicks at goal.
This was a good confidence builder for the side who have been struggling lately.
Overall, an easy victory that may help to motivate the side for the second half of the season.
