Locks Heath Pumas
Locks Heath Pumas have a pre-season friendly match this Saturday (August 31) where the 1st XV team is travelling away to Portsmouth 3rd XV and travelling to Romsey the following week (Saturday September 7).
The club has introduced new players and recruited new staff in the pre-season of the Hampshire Snows Group League 2.
Because of the number of players at training, the club’s 2nd XV – also known as the ‘Angry Squirrels’ – will also get regular games this upcoming season.
The first game of the new season will see the Pumas battle it out away at local rivals Fareham Heathens on Saturday September 14 and the following week at home to Stoneham.
Andrew Martin, from the Locks Heath Pumas, said: “This is an exciting way to start the season and all Pumas’ players have been looking forward to this opening game since the fixture list was announced. A big season lies ahead for the club.”
